BMW Dealer Warranty (AUC) is it Transferable ?

Hi All,

I'm about to commit to buying a 2004 3 Series from an independant. The car however was official BMW main dealer stock before being traded out to the independant earlier this year. It's thus being sold with the balance of its official dealer warranty (this is the AUC, not the insurance backed extended warranty) Is this AUC warranty transferable ? if so is there a fee involved ?

I think BMW are same as Porsche - transferable on private sale but VOID as soon as it goes through a dealer.

Hi Suvie, I'm thinking this would be different as it's NOT the insurance based extended warranty but the official warranty put in place by the dealer ?

I meant the dealer one.

Porsche warranty of VOID when it passes through a trader. Quite clear in the terms.

You need to speak to the previous owner and let them know that you are buying it, and if BMW ever call to ask say you bought it from him.
