BMW World, Munich

Had the pleasure of attending the Oktoberfest for 3 days at the end of September, and on the last day, myself and the mates I went with decided to indulge our passion for all things automotive. BMW World and the BMW museum is where we went and without planning to lost 4 hours there! Here are some pics:
The main entrance to BMW world. An amazing building which apparently was 4 years in the making. Bit blurry though!
Central to BMW World is this hand over area. Cars from all over Europe were awaiting collection.
Global HQ, the famous 4-cylinder building
BMW Directors cars. You may be able to make out the new 7`s? Security hesitated letting me out there as this line-up was right at the main entrance.
New 7. Can`t help thinking they look like a Cadillac from the rear though.
BMW art car. It even competed at competition level
Luxury BMW`s upto the 7:
The biggest touch screen I have ever come across. Basically a time line of BMW as a company. Touch/read/expand.
The M division. I found heaven!
You can shove you Ferrari`s and Lamborghini`s, this does it for me
A selection of M Engines. Headphones are out of shot where you could indulge in the noise
Very clever this, basically a time line of BMW models with the badges
I wish I could post a video of this. Basically each and every individual stainless sphere moved independantly and over time formed the shapes of classic and modern BMW`s.

Excellent pics, must make an effort to go and see the place myself.
I've been a few times. Recommended, as is 1. Audi Museum at Ingolstadt
2. Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart
3. Car museum in Sinsheim, west of Heilbronn
and at a push, the Porsche museum in Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart.
I think the Porsche museum has been done up in the last few
years, so it might well have improved since I saw it last.
There's plenty of car related things to see in Southern Germany !
