330d fuel filter
Discussion
They are normally located 3/4 of the way back on the underside - the same side as the fuel filler.
They are DIY but it is not recommended as they are a fire hazard if you dont know what youre doing. They are peanuts for a mecanic to change (about £35 cost and £20 labour IIRC).
Get it done at your next service as if they are anything like my car then they are a 'lifetime' item but end up looking like this

Or get your own filter for about £12 delivered and fit it yourself in about 20 minutes tops. Suppose it could be a fire hazard if you decided to have a fag whilst doing it.Well petrol ones are, you diesel lot will just get covered in greasy oil. Yyou need to clamp both ends of the fuel pipes otherwise it leaks out - so like I say, you need to know what youre doing.
Talking of tractor fuel, what about air locks in the sytem once the new filter is on? Couldnt this cause issues, a bit like running out of fuel? Or am I about 10 years being on derv motors?
