Anyone ever replaced seat cushions and bolsters on an E39?
Discussion
My passenger seat feels loads better than the drivers seat which is showing a bit of wear, especially to the lower side bolster nearest the door. (E39 530 sport)
Has anyone ever bought replacement foams from BMW and done this job,or had a trimmer sort it out another way? any ide of costs?
Regards

I have done it its a pain in the arse. you need a special tool to do it properly, a bit like a round stapler
the seat cover has wire woven into it and the foam has very thick plactic stuck to it. the special tool inserts a small ring round the plactic and behind the wire thats woven to the cloth. this is how the cloth is held to the foam
I made a right arse of my drivers seat and ended up sourcing a new interior
get a trimmer to do it for you
