Does anyone know where you can get 19" CSL replicas that will fit a standard (non M) Z4 for sensible money?

ca-automotive do them but at £1,339.00 for a set with tyres that does seem a tad expensive for what are replicas after all.

They would need to have the 'deep dish' wider rears.

Cheers!

They tyres will be around £600 anyway, so a similar amount for wheels doesn't sound terrible.

I've seen originals without tyres go for over £1000.

Can't help with sources for replicas/copies but I believe a company called Simpson do the best prices on genuine CSL wheels.

Try M Style in Romford or Mark at BMAutosport.

We paid almost £1200 for a set of 19 inch Schnitzer style rims and decent tyres. These would be made in higher volumes than CSL replicas so the price premium is probably reasonable.

Stating the obvious but dont skip on tyre quality - a friend of mine did on his 1.8T golf on a set of 'bargain' replicas and he ended up changing the tyres after a month of going sideways in the wet.

Good point about the tyres, hadnt considered the obvious fact they will cost more on 19" rims.

I didnt think original CSL fitted on non-M cars because of the offset? Otherwise they would make more sense.

M-style sell them for £1245 with tyres, which as stated are around £600 for a set. That's with wider rears. Genuine ones don't fit because the offset of the rear wheels are wrong, you can however fit four front wheels if you wish, but of course you won't have the deeper dish.

According to the M-style website you can buy 18" CSL replicas which includes the 'deep dish' rears for £758 with tyres.

18's would look ok, right? boxedin

They'll look ok, but you'd spend every day thinking about that extra inch. (Oerr missus)

We went from 18 inch m6 replicas to 19 inch type iv bi colour replicas and there is a very visable difference...

... spend the bit extra - its only £100 a corner more, if you keep the car four years, thats just £25 a year per corner more, or 50p a week, or 7p a day....

Well £150 per corner but meh!

What do you reckon a set of quality (£1350) 19" reps with sensibe tyre tread left would be worth second hand if they were in tidy condition? If i could get £450-£500 back when i sell the car then it wouldnt be so bad.

What is wrong with you lot. Ebay, with a little hunting around, you can get 19s for less that £700 with tyres

Dont think they have the deep dish rears though. Still, its a big saving though, gotta ask yourself is it worth the extra.

Beware with Replica rims though, they are usually incredibly Heavy so can drastically effect the handling & performance - Don't forget BMW spend ££££'s on research and crack testing of their rims too so you may find replica's tend to buckle easily.... Speaking from experience i had 4 seperate Audi RS6 replica wheels buckle on my Mk4 Golf a couple of years back so just be careful and do some research first is all i would say.

I have seen many replica wheels for BMW , MERC and the VAG group ! I have to agree they are very heavy compared to original fitment , quality is no where near as good , seen a few crack badly , alot that have bent and even some brand new replicas that have taken 3 - 4 times the amount of wheel weights to balance correctly against original!
My customer with a S4 had RS4 replicas fitted to his car and had a big scary moment when at high speed on a smooth road a tyre suddenly went down like a blow out , it was the wheel a large piece of the rim feel out in the middle even thou we could find no signs of damage to the tyre!

I bought genuine CSL wheel direct from Dealer for £999 inc vat ! wink
Vat at 17.5 not 15 as from today so even cheaper!

I have noticed that even M cars bought direct from BMW dealerships can have replica wheels on them ???

I like the look of my 19" CSLs, but not sure if I like the harsher ride. If I could get some genuine 18" versions (not available, I know) I would jump at the chance.

I don't know if it looks high due to the fact that it's not parked on flat ground as another photos make the ride height look lower.

I'm selling my 18" csl replicas with the wider deep dish rear for £600, I paid £500 for the alloys and £350 for the tyres (800 miles on tyres). Bought from bm autosport, who sell the quality german made ones. One is slightly kerbed, selling as I want to go for the 19" csl reps because I'm not intending to use the car on track.
