Iam sure a post on here recently spoke about tracing history on the BMW dealer system but the search to find the post has drawn a blank. I was wondering if anyone can find out original extras fitted/£££ etc???

On my Z4 i called my local BMW dealer and asked (nicely) if they can give me a printout of the spec sheet for when new.I had to give a few details like full VIN etc, but they done it for me no problem.

go through the BMW dealers where the car was registered (can you still tell by the number plate letters as to the region?). Also, if there's a BMW supplying dealer sticker/name on rear window/number plates?

Ive traced a lot by phoning around. A BMW dealership should be able to tell you who supplied the vehicle from VIN. Start from there.
