Current price of E60 530d
Discussion
Hi
Looking at buying an E60 530D. Need some pointers on what i should be looking to pay. The car needs to have leather and preferably navigation. AUC pricing seems to be around £21k for a early 07 model with say 25000 miles. Given the current market i would expect that i might be able to get a better deal but not really sure. Any advice appreciated.

Be aware that the 5 series was 'facelifted' in late march 07 (thats build date not reg date). It has the updated gearbox (much smoother), LED tail lights, improved trim, improved suspension - particularly rear, more economical, lower emmissions. Those around the £21K mark are all pre facelift models. You can easiest spot the facelifted cars if you look at the interior view - different gearstick...Looking at buying an E60 530D. Its a much nicer car to drive, so if your budget will stretch or if you can wait a month or two, its worth doing.
I'd say any dealer will probably knock a further £1000 off their prices - more if they know their price is uncompetitive.

Just saying an E60 530d doesn't allow for much accuracy, you may need to specify what model and what year you are looking for and any exact options.
I paid 22k for my 05 plate 530d Sport with leather, media pack, visibility pack, tints and it has 22k on the clock. 6 months ago.
07 Sports are on www.bmw.co.uk for less than £21K. Sorry mate.I paid 22k for my 05 plate 530d Sport with leather, media pack, visibility pack, tints and it has 22k on the clock. 6 months ago.
Heres one, silver grey, media pack, 19 inch wheel upgrade, xenons, leather, heated seats... £20,800 - and thats before you start negotiating...

6 months ago things were a lot different, simple as that.
Yup i gave £23K for an 05 535d, leather, nav, etc six months ago and it was pretty much the cheapest in the country on BMW AUC. Can now be bought easily for under £19K from a main dealers. I try not to think what sort of bids i would get if i went to trade it in...I was offered a 535d sport touring on a 57 plate, facelift for £21k last week.
Was very tempted and still am. Just not sure I could sell my M3 that quickly.
There was a nice 2005 individual green (black really with a hint of green when the sun catches it) 535d sport saloon with loads of toys and 45k miles that sold for £14k. That is a hell of a lot of car for the money.

Big miles on it? Sounds like a cheap car doesnt it? Was that a retail price? Was very tempted and still am. Just not sure I could sell my M3 that quickly.

Also the 05 car, was that a retail price?
I expect mines probably only worth £14K+ now trade price, but then i've no plans to sell it for a long time yet, so its pretty irrespective. Shows how much they've dropped in such a short time - mine had already been discounted by £4K in two months when i bought it from the dealer.
The touring is cheap because it has no nav, and therefore no other dealer wants it, however I can retrofit it for under a grand so it doesn't bother me at all.
The car has 36k miles on it, so not bad mileage at all.
I am trying to sort out the money for it before it goes, but he has someone else interested in it at £23k now, probably up on autotrader if others have seen it as he works from home, appointments only.
The green 535d was also retail, with an indy trader. Yeah it was an absolute steal.
