Definite hint of 6er around the rear. Looks bigger than the current model, too.

Still not a resolved design to my eyes though.

Looks like they have gone for the boulevard cruiser look rather than the hairy chested sports car that the Z4 had a hint of.

I am sure an M version will follow. If they've went to the trouble of M versions of x5's and x6's then they'll do one of this.

They are only bringing out the 3.0 at the moment, but smaller (and bigger) versions are to follow.

Looks like there's less "rhino's arse" plastic in the interior. Door caps appear to be black leather.

No luggage space will be its downfall, looks nice and cosy but would take a Z4M over this.

I think it looks great and if you want practicality or luggage space get a 530 estate smile

Hmm, it looks the best I have seen it in these pics but im still not convinced. Bit too refined looking IMO. It looks out of proportion with the top up. Interior looks brilliant.

We're waiting for the coupe version to replace our 3.0si coupe, but at the moment the 370Z is the leading candidate.

Hmmm, not as nice as the current Z4, particularly don't like the new head lights. Hopefully it'll look better when it's not painted beige!

my instant reaction too! I have driven my first Z4 down to Provence a few times now. The boot is only just big enough for two people for a fortnight. Now the Z4M has less space because the battery intrusion and taking my camera gear next year it'll be a squeeze.

er nope! I rather go by coach which I probably will be able to do when I'm old enough to have a 5'er estate.

I have the old Z4 3.0 roadster, where is the incentive to upgrade if I cannot use it for touring to europe with the roof down?

The current Z4 has pretty good luggage space, the folding hard top robs all the space.

Well I, for one, love it. That colour works really well too. Now, where did I put me cheque book? hehe

I think it looks.... Nicer. Will there be a Coupé too? Would like to see that. Front end still looks a little off though.. But once again, every new BMW i see come out lately has a bit less 'Bangle' each time, which is always good!

I love the front end - I think it looks enthusiastically mischievous! The only thing I don't like is the fact that the design of the dashboard on the driver's side doesn't blend into the door card the way it does on the passenger side - Seems slightly odd, but in the same way that I wouldn't kick Keira Knightley out of bed if one of her fingernails was short, I will forgive the new Z4 this minor indiscretion!

It's a bloater:

From Autocar:
The new Z4 tips the scales at 1480kg, compared with the old model’s 1335kg.

Designed for the US market methinks.
