DSC and Airbag, related?

OK, for some time I have had a recurring fault on my Z4MC in that the airbag light illuminates. Doesn't seem to cause any other problems and it goes away within 15 minutes. Dealer has been so far unable to fix it (time to try another dealer I think).
Yesterday when rounding a bend in an air temperature of 11 degrees the DSC activated and the DSC light flashed. We had a bit of a front wheel slither and then all was OK. A couple of minutes later, the airbag light came on (as it is wont to do). As it was outside a petrol station I assumed it was a bit of spilled diesel.
Today, the airbag light came on again. About 5 minutes later when pulling away the DSC came on again with a bit of side-to-side action. Lightly damp surface as there had been some drizzle, but nothing out of the ordinary. Plenty of grip on the rest of the road.
Now my conclusions are one of the following:
1) Coincidence
2) Somehow the DSC has a fault and it's related to the airbag fault
3) Someone's been painting teflon on my tyres
Any thoughts? Are the airbag and DSC on a common circuit somewhere?
