E34 remote start - possible?

Car: 1993 525i manual

I have seen a few kits on ebay but they look dubiously cheap and a bit of googling throws up a lot of contradictory info. What I ideally want is a remote starting key so I can start the car from the house (<25 meters away on drive) and let it warm up on these snowy mornings whilst I grab a hot chocolate . Whether it unlocks/deactivates alarm too is irrelevant. Possible? Easy? Thanks once again PHers.

I think your best bet is to buy one from a reputable alarm company e.g. clifford.

Just make sure you dont leave it in gear when you leave!
