replace the sidelight bulb at the offside, the resistance through the bulb is too high, hence the reason the light module lights up the indicator as a back up sidelight. Replace the fuse for the cigar lighter,if its a e39 5 series the fusebox is in the glovebox and the fuse location chart should be there too.

cant fix this ciggarette lighter though, changed the fuse, took all the dash apart, didnt realy know what I was looking for, just something which looks broken can`t find anything wrong though.

I think ive pushed it in too much I will have another go or maybe buy a new unit??????
