1997 E36 Alarm

Any help would be most appreciated. My 1997 e36 touring alarm has given up the ghost. I have checked and changed battery on fob, Led light works on fob, have checked fuses all ok. Checked connections to main thatcham alarm unit all look ok. Alarm won't arm at all, it all looks like orignal unit, date 14/02/97 on unit. Help! Cheers Matt
