Have recently bough an 06 Le Mans Blue edition X5 Sport for the Mrs - it's a wide bodied edition and almost looks identical to the 4.8is (apart from the exhausts off course!).

I'm looking to change the front bonnet grills to the titanium look grills that are on the 4.8is (and the Sport Exclusive edition models which were the end of porduction for the E53 X5's).

Anyone know where I can get a decent set from. BMW want around £250 for the bonnet and upper bonnet grills eek

You should of just bough the 4.8is it is brilliant and really not as bad fuel wise as everyone thinks.

As for the grill, i haven't ever seen them for sale or heard of anyone having them done, though I'm sure it's no doubt possible. Try ebay.

it depends how you drive it. Granted I've never had 35mpg from my 4.8 but I certainly have had more then 14mpg.
