Question for BMW tech's.

I would like to know which was the last series of BMW's that used standard steering column switchgear?

This was before the current design switching which puts highs or lows on a microprocessor that then turns power transistors on or off to circuits for the indicators, wipers, lights etc.

If anyone's breaking such a car or knows the whereabouts?

I needs parts to retrofit my De Tomaso.
