Thanks to all the help here I was able to purchase a very nice Z3 3ltr from a gentleman in Manchester who had cherished the car in every way, travelled to Manchester last week and had interesting journey back to Scotland in heavy rain and some snow, After only a few miles the comfort and entire driving experiance is really somthing else, I have got a cross between an E-Type and a Austin Healy 3000 for looks but boy can it shift? overtaking is a squirt and lift off, again thanks to all, I was advised of web site www.zroadster where the seller has been posting matters relating to car, I find it impossible to register, when I complete all the questions I get "an account already exists for that email address", and when I complete it saying I have forgotton my password it says that "email address is not recognised"? have been sending emails to them for 8 days without any help whatsoever, Just wondered if anyone on this site has contacts that would let me on it, PS I have not registered on www.zroadster.net now or in the past. thank you Deerhound.

LOL! - I wouldn't worry too much about it mate.. you're not missing much.. it's generally full of old duffers and run by people who can't moderate fairly or impartially and delete threads/posts without the courtesy of sending the original poster a PM or email.. that's why it's generally like watching paint dry over there these days - they effectively pre-screen the content and remove anything the 'high and mighty' don't agree with. They cannot facilitate a fair and balanced discussion on any topic.

FWIW it seems like they hold a rather dim view of PH'ers as well!:

Ah, I see you've decided to troll on Pistonheads now then?

I'm sure you'll have a ball here as you clearly have a profound understanding of irony.

How's the wife?

not at all Stu.. been a member here for a while.. I tend to prefer reading threads on here that are moderated correctly and allow for fair and balanced adult discussions (look at the MJ threads on here for example! hahaha!!).. something that is sadly lacking on Zroadsters! LOL!

I'm also still waiting for you to provide me with the phantom PM's you claim I received as well - so maybe if you put more effort into digging them out instead of creative writing, we might get somewhere.

Regarding irony... I find it ironic that you don't allow balanced discussions of Michael Jackson on your site... But you do allow Pistonhead slating threads?? I also find it ironic that you didn't have the balls or proof to reply to me on zroadster - yet you reply here? Now that is ironic!!

Also not sure what my better half has to do with anything?? care to elaborate?

PS had any 'new' members sign up recently! LOL! smile

Is it me or does any thread on PH get an instant flame and go totally off topic?
Seems a fair observation about one or two of the O/T forums, and occasionally on the marque forums. Take this thread from February for example. Why restart it five months later and take it off topic?

If there is some bad history here I suggest you leave it off this forum.

LOL! - no war here dazren! smile .. I just found it funny that a CAR forum cannot moderate a thread on MJ properly.. yet they allow other CAR FORUM thread bashing to go on.. and to compound it even more some of the mods are members on here as well.. which is pretty ironic..

I just stumbled across this thread looking through the BMW General section and saw the mention of zroadster and felt it was entirely on topic as I was informing the OP how that forum is run.. the post I linked to just highlighted that.. smile
