Hi, I am looking to buy the CLS style bootlid for my M3, and the Vorsteiner is the obvious option. But i found a company in the UK today which stocks a very similar product for 1/3 of the price, just not branded:
http://www.ssdd-motorsport.com/show_prod.php?prod_...
Has anyone delt with this company? SSDD motorsport?
Are the products any good?

SSDD is a reputable company, I`ve dealt with them numerous times over the last 5-6 yrs. It`s run by a guy called Teddy and they`re sponsers on Evotechnik.net and BMWLand.co.uk

Im just concerned that the parts ie a Carbon fiber boot lid will not be up to a good standard. Has anyone bought one? or similar..

Talking of Mods - what exactly is the trim part known as that sits around the front grille?

Considering swapping my chrome one for a carbon black/black one

You would always be able to return it.
Often the fit isn't perfect due to the flexibility, most bonnets are a little out, but they are larger panels.

The most common problem you'd get would be the corners getting chipped in transit.
All you need to do is ask him if you can return it if you are unhappy, and you are covered.

Ah, some of the stuff like this isn't always kept in stock, and they are ordered in specifically.
I'm pretty sure i saw him ebaying an e36 CSL style carbon bootlid pretty cheap last year which was returned or cancelled.
Infact, i'm pretty sure i know the guy who bought it too!

Teddy uses a bodyshop in Egham for his painting/fitting. Maybe arrange to drive there to get it fitted ?

I have a GTR bonnet from Teddy that was painted by them but got it courriered up to me and it survived the journey but most companies wont insure C/F against breakages.

I know someone on BMW land who bought the CSL bootlid from Teddy at SSDD and was very impressed. He had it sprayed body coloured, and it looked amazing when it was finished. I'll try to dig out a link...
