Be careful of fibreglass lips, most take a few grazes and could crack easy in f/g.
The alpina 3 ser. one i have is PUrim, so it's as resilient as the regular bumper. You'd just need to keep an eye on ebay for them. ACS did a nice e34 one too, or for a cheap change, you can add 540 brake ducts to the corners of the regular bumper
