looking at geting 03 4.6l x5 good idear????

hi iam looking at buying a 2003 4.6l bmw x5 its done 100000 and has full bmw service history.
is there anything anyone knows of that goes at this sort of miles?
i would be servicing it my self if i get it and dont really want to be rebilding the whole car!
also dose anyone know what the deal is with bringing a car over from northen irland?

If you service it yourself nobody will ever buy it from you. Don't try and run a car like this on the cheap.

Ha ha, thanks guys. My brother borrowed my log in while I was away. He's after an X5 for around the 10K mark.

As per the original post, are there any common faults with the 4.4 or 4.6 X5 to look out for ??

As per the original post, are there any common faults with the 4.4 or 4.6 X5 to look out for ??

The 4.6ltr engine is the one designed by Alpina for use in the B10 but made under licence by BMW.

So anything that affects the alpina could affect the X5 - with the exception of the head gasket issue on the alpina as the X5 has an improved version.
