Quick passing visit to the BMW forum - I'm sure you're all as helpful as the TVR boys!

I'm posting on behalf of my Dad who's holidaying out in Oz with a beaten up 1988 325i. Currently it's dripping colourless, odourless fluid at the rate of about a cupful per hour onto his left foot. His best guess is that this is condensation from the A/C (which is one of the few things that works since he paid $300 on it!) that should be piping out onto the road but just wanted to make sure it's nothing more serious.

thanks for any help wink

Could be a heater matrix thing? How's the coolant level?

Is it hot or cold? If it was the heater matrix it would be hot enough to scold. Could be a split drain from the aircon I guess.

Many thanks for helping him out so quickly guys! Coolant level is fine (sorry, should have posted that) and fluid is cold. "Split drain from the A/C" sounds (somewhat) reassuring so I'll feed that back to him. And I'll be back if the situation develops!!

Thanks again wink
