hi, ive currently got a TT 3.2 and am really torn between a 645 coupe to replace it with or an Audi S4 cab, the main sticking point is the rear seats.

The TT rear seats really are pointless but i'm wondering if the 6-series back seats are useable at all.

Can any 6-series owners comment? are the back seats useable at all for adults? Is it possible to get 2 people in there?

Cheers

Not an owner, but can say that rear leg room is not very good at all. I took someone in the back for a 20 minute drive, she is 5ft 3 and was complaining after 1o minutes if thats anything to go by

Yep definitely usable HOWEVER....

Adults over 5ft 6 will only be able to get in the passenger rear side and the passenger will need to move their seat forward.

I have the kids in the back (one is 11) and that's fine for up to 2h journeys.

I'd say the rear is usable for 20-30mins max by an adult but no more than that, i's an "occassional" thing.

More comfy than a 996/997 though :-D

I've had a couple of people in the back of mine and as long as the front seat people are not too tall it's ok, longest journey I have had someone in the back for was about an hour and they didn't complain.

The rear seats are usable unlike those in a 911.

Thanks guys, sounds promising. Just saw a 650 with two adults in the back so that's made the other half happy!

Not sure if this helps but you could always go to the local BMW dealership, look at one of their used 6 series cars set up the driver seat for you and then try to get into the back seat.

I am about 5'9 and tried the above and couldn't put the driver seat back in place as my knees were in the way. Its surprisingly tight in the back of the 6s.

I have 645 and use the back seats alot for adults and kids (including car seat). I am 6 foot and never get compliants except maybe during fast cornering. I actually get kicked more in the back when in the wifes xc90 then the bmw.

I've got a 650 cab and I've sat in the back (on the driver's side) a few times when my wife was driving and it helps if you take your shoes off. Otherwise your feet tend to get stuck under the electric seat as it comes back. You have to push it right forward just to get in.
