X5 questions

Guys,
Have been looking at X5's, on one of them the temp/air con/ fan panel did not work at all, no life in it, would this be just a fuse somewhere, or something more sinister.
Also, if it has sport mode, is this operated by moving the gear shift over, and what exactly does it do.

Your heater issues sound like a final common pathway heater resistor type thing

This cost 100 quid fitted from an independent on my E46 recently

Some models are easy to fit
The E46 isnt and I dont know an osteopath thus I was happy for the indie to fit it

A main dealer would cost you a lot more

Holds on to the gears longer up through the revs, holds a lower gear so that you're on the power band.
