So I thought I would say hi.

Car before last was a 316 SE saloon. Facelift E46. Was a great car but broke down on the wife a couple of times. Tricky diagnosis - the inlet air hose was collapsing which killed the engine dead. In the middle of busy roads. Freaked her out a couple of times! Then could cool down, stiffen and pop open again. Until next time! Decided to sell after than. Silly move looking back.

So... next car was a Golf 2.0 TDI. I fancied a pokey diesel. Wifey wanted a Golf for some unknown reason. Again, has been a great car. Had it 3 years and it never put a foot wrong. Even starting first turn after 2 week holidays. But I've been itching for a BMW again for a long time. I watched the ads in Autotrader for months before spotting a 330d E92 in a garage down the road from me. It was silver with coral red leather. I went along to laugh thinking it would look a bit ridiculous. But might be worth a test drive until a better colour combination appeared. But instead it looked awesome. Its not really silver.... its arctic silver. I am sure you good folks here know what that looks like. Its fully loaded too. Professional sat nav, voice control, bluetooth, flappy paddle auto blah blah blah.

I have not really had the chance to give her the full beans. (Still talking about the car.) But the fuel needle drops a LOT faster than the Golfs. Computer says 25mpg around town. I guess that is par? But I don't care because my E92 is a dream for me.

Our 330D would do 36 mpg day in day out so you should get some good consumption figures out of it.

Yeah yeah pics, I hear you.

I am going to take some pics as soon as I get the chance. I'll post 'em on this thread.

Thanks for the MPG figure Catherine. I'm certainly hoping to get 36mpg out of it!

I'm considering buying a 2005 330d coupe, its done 70000 miles. Does anyone know what kind of mileage these are good for, without major expense?. Or is 70000 already too much.. Cheers!

This seems pretty solid. Though the extending arms that push the seatbelts towards the front seat occupants look very plasticky and fragile.
