strange dash noise on E92

When I stop the car and switch off the engine, there is a whiring noise coming from the dash around the DVD/CD area, I have tried ejecting the satnav DVD but it continues - anyone have any ideas?

They all do it, mine does. Like a weird scratching also.

Is it the climate control pump turning off?

Is it to do with ConnectDrive ? reading or updating info.

I hear it every time I switch off and it sounds like a hard drive read-write.

My 1 series does this too. I always thought it was something to do with the climate system, perhaps closing the outside feed off.

{noises when switching off]
1/ all the stepper motors in the heater control system move to off positions

2/ the small fan that draws air over the interior temperature sensor keeps running until the car enters sleep mode, approx 30 mins.

3/ Cd and DVD sat nav if fitted can all make a few noises.

4/ the aircon system pressure equalises between the low and high pressure sides and makes hissing noises audible through the heater system.

Probably one or more of them.
