I'm still looking around for the right 330, and I see a few 330d's around at slightly keener prices that the equivalent Cd/Ci models. Would I regret plumping for one of these instead of holding off for the Cd or Ci?

How do they compare against the 330Cd or Ci?

Anyone? I'm especially intrigued by the suprisingly high torque that the 330d seems to produce - 410Nm is not to be sniffed at.

I wonder how much slower or faster the 330d will feel in regular driving as compared to the 330Ci, which has more power but less torque. Interested more in overtaking ability - 40-70mph sort of thing.

Sounds to me like the driveability of the car is important to you. If that's the case then it will have to be a petrol 330ci. It really has a peach of an engine. On the other hand, if you think you're going to be spending most of your time on a motorway then the diesel would be better, the Ci does like to drink the old petrol. All imho of course smile

Not driven the 330d, but im sure its effortless to drive.

You can tune the 330d quite well also. Go for the Coupe.

I assume you realise 330Cd and 330d of the same year, are the same engine? C is for the Coupe or Convertible.

Then its just a case of deciding what car you need. I.E. how many doors you need? and if you prefer petrol or diesel.

Tell us what you will use it for and how many miles you will do, and I'm sure lots of people will offer an opinion.

+1 with Jamoor.

fk the diesel. The petrol engines in these cars are excellent and the MPG in the petrol 3.0 is pretty good too.
