Speak to your local BMW dealer give them the chassis number (last seven) and get confirmation that it is a genuine Motorsport edition car, option code 798 IIRC.
I'm sure from that coming from that seller it is genuine but I would do this for person confirmation, as there are alot of car totted around as Motorsport that are not.
I believe it breaks down something like this,
590 cars total.
40 in 1988 (Chrome bumper)- Macau Blue
250 in 1989 Nogaro Silver & Macau Blue
250 in 1990 Sebring Grey & Macau Blue
50 in 1991 Calypso Red & Maruritus Blue
Advert shows your cars as a 1991 reg, but it will be a 1990 build.
Looking at the pictures it looks bang on, driver seat bases looks good too, you have to weatch this as the bubble leather is NLA from BMW and the seat bases wear and fray.
