E39 key

Looks like I need a new battery in the key. Does it just pull apart, or is there a knack to it?

Even though they recharge themselves when in ignition? I suppose it could still die though.

I thought only later/facelift 39's did this?

Not 100% sure but either way I'm assuming Dan's talking about his E39 Touring which is a facelift model.

Yep, just discovered they charge when in the ignition slot.

The car had been sat for a long time prior to me buying it, so I guess I just need to drive it more!
