Remap or tuning box.

I had a tuning box on mine from the originally named www.tuningbox.com. Added approx 30BHP.

A remap will release more. There are many debates about the merits of each.

Have the inlet manifold checked for the condition of the swirl flaps. They have a habit of dropping off and trashing the engine. Turbos have been known to fail and the EGR valves can get clogged up.

Chipping is about the only thing you can do. I had mine done and I wish I had a custom remap on a rolling road. It has a flat spot and economy has suffered. The trip computer tells me it is better, but basic maths tells me otherwise.

Easy to fit and remove, goodperformance gain. used to have one on my 2002 150bhp Golf. taken off that and fitted to a 130bhp Audi A4 back in 2005, still there. Never an issue with it or the engines.
