Getting a rattle sorted out...

Can anyone recommend an Indie / main dealer who could actually sort out an annoying rattle on my 335i?

I've asked several dealers do look at it, but since it's intermittent and fairly difficult to pinpoint, they've never found it. Although I would guess they probably did a quick check, didn't find anything, then handed the car straight back.

Is it possible to get something like this fixed? Or is it doomed to be left as 'random rattle' and never found? I need someone who'll put a bit of effort in... any suggestions?

Sometimes you are best to do it yourself! Where is the rattle coming from?

It may be related to hitting a pheasant on the motorway a few months ago. This smashed the front fog lamp, which was then replaced. My suspicion is that the new fog was not fitted correctly. The garage checked and stated all was OK, but the rattle remains.... and is driving me up the wall !
