Thinking of upgrading my ancient Nokia 6230i phone to something more 2009 - looking at Nokia N85 / N95 / N96. The old Nokia has always been fine with the bluetooth on my 5 series, but having just had a new 09 520D MSport, does anyone know if the above Nokia phones are compatible with the new cars as it says nothing on the BMW Bluetooth web pages. I think I may struggle to get a snap in cradle for these phones, but that's not a problem as long as it transfers all my contacts & I get full use out of the Bluetooth set up.

Anyone got the above phones working with Bluetooth?

Thanks.

Not sure about tohse Nokias specifically, but the later phones I've had since my 6230i didn't download the contacts on my Z4, apart from a 6233, which isn't very up to date. Nevertheless, it's what I've gone back to using.

Ive got an N95 and that works fine with bluetooth prep on my 123d. Everything works well although it doesn't by default sync the contacts. If you download this Nokia Sat Nav sync app though, it runs in the background on the phone and will keep the phone book sync'd. Its not written for this purpose as such as its intended for use with a Nokia sat nav, but it works seamlessly.
