How legal is it to have German style number plates in the uk is there any chance pc jobsworth giving me a tug for them?
It's not legal at all i'm afraid sir. I did for a while have them on mine and i got a tug from a BiB one day. Funny thing was i had the legal UK spec plates in the boot but he didn't want to know, just issued me with a £30 on the spot fine and sent me on my way. In EXTREME cases the police do have the power to remove the registration mark from the vehicle.Edited by M3John on Thursday 9th April 17:08
