Hi,
Anyone familiar with E30 LSD`s and which is best suited to which environment? I have heard that a common LSD upgrade is the 3.9.1 and the 3.7.3, one gives better traction, butshortens top end, whilst the other is better suited to hilly conditions..can anyone explain the differences?
Thanks

Hmm, never heard them described in relation to hills before!
the higher the number, the more turns the engine/prop has to do to turn the wheels.
for example, a 2.93:1 needs just under 3 turns to turn the wheels, but a 3.91:1 needs just under 4.
The higher the number, the better acceleration you get, and the lower the economy.
A 3.91 would give you faster acceleration, but the engine would be reving more on the motorway.
