E46 Facelift sport front bumper onto a pre facelift???

Hi Guys, does anyone know if the E46 facelift Sport front bumper will fit straight onto a pre facelift Sport? Anyone actually done this, if so got any top tips? Is it straight forward?

I'm 99% sure the Sport bumpers are the same pre and post facelift, it is just the wings and bonnet that are different owing to the facelift headlamps.

BTW, and just a thought, I think they are different between body types ie Saloon/Tourer is different to Coupe/Cab. Again, someone should be able to confirm this.

That's interesting as I'm looking at a 2001 X reg which is pre-facelift and it has different front bumper, i.e doesnt have the two splitters moulded at the bottom it just looks like the normal non-sport bumper. Can anyone confirm about the bumpers if they are all the same both pre-facelift and post facelift?

How can I tell if its 330i Saloon made to look like a sport?

I don't think proper sports started until a Y reg.

Face lift bumpers are different.

As above, I don't think they used the proper M Sport bumper (the one with the lips at the bottom) on 'Sports' until about 2001. I presume this is the Sport bumper that the OP is refering to.

Yes it appears you are right, it lookslike the M Sport Bumper came in at 'Y' reg 2001 and the one I'm looking at is an 'X' reg 2001. Thanks Chaps now got a query in with Parts Gateway for the facelift Bumper.
