I've spoken about them but nobody has seen them yet!

Sorry for the crap picture, just got back from a long trip to collect etc so snapped one as I got out on my mobile.

Nothing interesting really but will take some on the camera tomorrow when I have cleaned it in case anyone is interested.

Have the rears got the correct offset? Looks like the same front and back.

I don't know much about wheels but I know they are not staggered. They are the same width front and back. Would assume the offset is the same on all 4 wheels?

That's not a problem though is it?

I've no idea of the fitment, but the CSL alloys which people put on Z4Ms are staggered, I think.

No, mine are replicas and the are not staggered, nor are they deep dish rear either. They are not genuine CSL alloys - would be pointless putting genuine ones on considering how kerbed my alloys tend to get when the gf drives it.

They are BMW fitment but same front and rear - like the OEM alloys they replaced.

I dont understand why you would want to replace genuine staggered wheels with fake ones which are not staggered? Surely you are compromising something here, there must be a reason BMW specified the factory wheels with staggered sizes?

They are nice wheels but I really don't like the idea of replicas. Could you not have held out for some used genuine wheels?

To be fair to the OP, Fox, he does say they're the same size front and rear like the OE alloys.

I didnt replace genuine staggered wheels...

BMW did not specify the factory wheels with staggered sizes...

Therefore I am not compromising anything.

Genuine CSL staggered wheels are expensive, decent condition with new tyres you are looking at £2k+ i would imagine. These have already been ttted into the kerb since yesterday by a woman.

Therefore, £300 on these things with brand new decent tyres doesnt seem like such a bad deal.

They are italian replicas with a good reputation.

But I do thank you for your concern.

I thought the Z4 had staggered wheels? Ours certainly does and they are the OEM wheels?

£300 for the wheels with tyres? What tyres did you get for that money? I thought just a decent set of rubber alone for the Z4 was in the region of £500? You've paid £200 less AND got wheels? How can they possibly be anything approaching good quality for that little?

I want to know what tyres are on them too.

Numbers aren't adding up imo.

Mine had 17's as standard and they weren't staggered. Trust me on that. It's a fact.

They are not brand new wheels, I spotted them on ebay not too long ago and noticed that there were no bids on them, couldn't see any obvious reason other than they were collection only and in a far corner of the UK.

So i arranged to take a look.

They have 225/40/18 Kumho Ecsta 712 (pretty sure thats what they are called?) that are brand new, were replaced just before the chaps wife fell pregnant and he sold his Z4.

When I arrived, they were in good condition - few small kerb marks but fine with me as I may get them refurbed when the missus gets her own car. The seller came with me to have them put on, and they balanced up great with not a hint of structural damage.

Quite often you will get a bargain on ebay, this time was one of them.

So I hope this answers your question regarding how they can be anything approaching good quality.

It's nice that you can't even post a picture of your car up here without someone thinking they know what they are talking about more than I do, considering I did my research before I picked them up.

I am happy with them and they look far better than any standard Z4 alloy does.

Having done a little digging... http://www.etyres.co.uk/tyre-tests?term=kumho-ecst...

It's not them as they dont have the rim protector.

I will take a look tomorrow.

However, the run flats completely ruin the Z4 as a drivers car anyway. It's in a different league with these tyres so a definite improvement regardless.

Clearly we do, you told us you'd bought good quality wheels and tyres whereas it seems you've bought cheap fake wheels off Ebay with some Kumho tyres on them.

Please, leave the cheap reps to the barryboy E36 squad - you've got a great car, modify it properly or leave it stock. I wonder what you've done to the unsprung weight!

Clearly, you don't.

If I could be bothered to take a wheel off, I would weigh it. The 17's that just came off complete with the run flats were heavier than those that have gone back on.

Clearly you know which wheels it is that I have bought, clearly you know the weight of them, clearly you know the exact type of tyres that are on them and clearly you know that they are bad tyres.

The car looks better, and it drives better. Perfect for the weather we are having.
