Central locking issue

Hi all,

My friend has a BMW Compact, 1.8 1998 Model. We are going to see if we can fix his remote central locking.

Before we do the man thing and dive in guns blazing i thought i would ask if any one has had a similar issue and what the fix was.

Issue - The drivers door does not unlock when using the remote central locking fob, he has to unlock the door manually, passenger door and the boot unlook fine.

Any ideas?

Try a quick blast on locking and unlocking it in quick fire succession. This usually frees up a sticky lock for a while at least.

Mine has had the same problem since I bought it. I just put up with it but if the part is only a tenner I don't really have an excuse not to fix it
