Wondered what the real world mpg figures were like?

I dont want to state the obvious, but you would be looking at sub 20, mixed. You might eek 25mpg on a long, slow, steady run. Around town would be laughable.

Sub 20 on a good day if you are lucky maybe. 10-15MPG if you waft around town at anything other than a snails pace.

Drove a 56 plate 750li this morning. Checked the computer and the average over the last 1k miles was 21.7 mpg. Previous car a 99 S500L used to see a long term average of 19.5mpg.

I'm guessing 16 around town and 25/6 on an 80 mph motorway run. Providing you're not using it for a 5 mile/40 minute traffic jam commute to work everyday you should see 20+.

Awesome cars.

i've got one that i've run from pretty much new and it has 114k miles on it now. Nothing has broken, it's a facelifted 2005 onwards model and a vast improvmeent over the previous one.
MPG wise i get close to, if not 30mpg on a run and maybe sub 20 around town but my average over the last 4k miles which is a combination has been 24.8-not bad for a big car and it's still silent!!

That's pretty good, considering. My 330Ci is currently averaging 27mpg on mixed, for comparison. So to get anywhere close to that with a 5.0l is impressive. Or is it just that the 330Ci is a bit thirsty ;-)

Jesus, my previous car, Saab 95 Aero only did that as an average, less than half the capacity too! Good going that.
