Red lights on nav

3 red lights on widescreen nav unit, what do they do?

Green, yellow, red aren't they?

I think it's to do with the car kit, gussing at .. roaming (yellow), no signal (red), active (green)

Mine is flashing red.

In plain non techie language, what does that mean?

are they on the top right of the unit? I thought they were related to the Bluetooth function, indicating when a call was in progress and when signal not available etc?

Yep, they're the ones.

Would an 01 X5 with comms have bluetooth?

I think that would be too early for Bluetooth, but there were certainly car-kit options before then. Is there a phone in the armrest or storage compartment? Or somewhere to put a SIM card ?

Green for me means it's connected to my iphone bluetooth wise....

Flashing red means no connection to the mobile network.
