I have read a small review in EVO mag and am very tempted to get the upgrade, however as always would value the opinion of anyone thats had the upgrade in particular:

How noticable the extra power is

Any more noise from exhaust?

Boring I know, but MPG impact.

Thanks, Charles

Well if you mean an 'is the 335 remapped quicker than an M3?' discussion, then i'm conscious this is an obvious 'possible' subject, not one I'm looking to encite!! Apologies though in advance if so rolleyes

Heard good things; I can see it's tempting particularly if you're not keeping the car forever; I can't see the drivetrain wanting to deal with all the extra work without needing more TLC (and money spent in time). It's no M3 though; dynamically.

Was in last months I think - right hand page column a few pages in...think it was a Zonda on the front page, but that doesn't narrow down the EVO publication much! Guess its not that common an upgrade given no response yet from someone with it!?

I had a tuned 335i, no idea what it was putting out as I never put it on a rolling road, but it was quick.

Mine was using a Procede tuning box, and I was getting 0-60mph times on 4.7 seconds just about everytime using a Race Tech AP22 timing meter, got a couple at 4.5x seconds. So yeah it makes it a seriously quick car. When I took the box off it felt seriously lathargic in comparison, but have to admit I noticed going back to stock more than I noticed the remap, if that makes sense?
Just as a comparison using the same timing meter I got 5.6 seconds from my S4, 5.6 seconds from my DMS mapped 535d and I get 5 seconds from the E46 M3.

Is it worth doing?? Oh Yeah!!

I've gone back to another M3, but as a quick motorway mile muncher the 335i remapped is a sublime choice.

I'd agree, I have the evolve tune and had it rolling roaded at 387hp. I think the DMS tune is probably just as wise a choice and they are very established. I do worry about the internals, and the stock turbo's coping with the added strain, but I drive it quite moderately most of the time so it probably won't wear any more than someone hammering it all day long. Fuzzy logic I know but it makes me feel better.

ETA: Can't offer much on the MPG front as the tune's been on since I purchased it, but front last owner the MPG hasn't changed at all and that seems to be consistent with most cases (apart from those taking full advantage of the tune wink)
