Discussion
Hi folks. Never been on this forum before.... wonder if you can help me pls.... I'm after buying a 2005 or 2006 X5 3.0d Sport, do heated seats come as standard and is park distance rear standard with front park distance an option?
Many thanks in advance,

Hi Mrs Rabbit
Recently purchased a 2005 x5 3.0d sport to mainly tow my van, most i looked at had the heated seats and they are brill being 3 stage heating jobbies, but i believe they are an option,i also plumped for xenon headlights and the full panoramic roof as it brightens up the interior somewhat.
I also am on the porsche forum a lot,and besides getting a lot of stick from various people over there,i really like the x5 it feels very alive and sporty for such a big tank and is surprisingly economical to run,the power and grip makes it feel very sure footed and all in all i would highly recomend one as i have owned most cars inc ferrari,s and many porsches.
I also considered a cayenne but am completely fed up with the wild prices for servicing etc on them.
good luck with your search.

Thanks for the info everyone ~ much appreciated!
re: new model vs old debate, the car will be used to tow my horses around, carry feed bags, stinky tack and horse rugs so I just want something utilitarian. I'm sure the new model is a better car but it would be wasted on the job I need it for.
I want to buy a car by this weekend (or sooner!) so any further advice, pls let me know. If anyone has a nice example for sale, let me know ASAP also ~ must be silver or black with sat nav and fcty towbar.
Ta mucho!
Victoria.

did you find one ?
Sure did! Last Friday I took delivery of a fabulously spec'd, immaculate condition, one owner car. It spent 2 days on my drive and has since spent the rest of its time at the BMW dealership! Wretched thing has a fault ~ constant flat battery! Very unimpressed with my first BMW TBH and wishing I'd stuck with Porsche... not happy...Jessica_Wabbit said:

Are they retro fitting hot seats and manual transmission for you at the same time?

LOL! I see that naughty IMOM has been tittle-tattling! LOL! John, from a girl's perspective, I can tell you there's little worse than cold leather on a cold day against delicate bare legs, and as for the manual transmission, I simply find gearsticks more exciting ;-) xx
