Alloy corrosion

My alloys are corroding to utter hell from the inner part.

Is this common on these alloys or something?

I assume a refurb is the only option to getting these fixed up as the corrosion on my front left is slowly starting to make its way foward to the main front

I've got the same wheels and noticed some small corrosion in the same places.

You probably have water / dirt under the laquer. A refurb is your only option then afterwards clean every week and protect with a sealant and a good quality wheelwax.

I also have very bad corrosion on my 2004 M3 alloys. I went to my local dealer who said that this is normal for BMW and that I can't do anything about this apart from not buying another BMW - quite outrageous really!

wheel refurb is only option and quite cheap if caught early. about £55+vat per wheel

Any of that 'brushed' look alloy wheel is prone to this, no matter who the manufacturer. Winter roads, salt, stonechips and powerhosing all contribute.
