E34 wiper replacement...?
Discussion
Right. Got my old banger of an E34 525, wipers won't clear the screen properly. After spending far to long titting about in Tesco's car park, realised that normal blades won't fit.
So, in my infinite wisdom, I thought I'd swap the rubber from a new blade into the existing blade holder. Seemed to work, but (I've only tried on the passenger side for now), it won't actually contact the screen when it sweeps up.
Firstly, where can I buy blades that actually fit (I object to handing over my first-born to the BMW dealer unless absolutely necessary), and secondly, is it the blades, or something more sinister (read: expensive), perhaps a common problem, at fault?
Cheers
Pete

I have just replaced both wiper blades on my E46, bought from my local dealership. The cost at Halfords was £34, I paid £33 for genuine BMW!So, in my infinite wisdom, I thought I'd swap the rubber from a new blade into the existing blade holder.
