Hi

I've just bought a new Z4C and the sat nav doesn't seem to have perspective view. Is this normal?

Thanks.

It does have perspective view. Click the right hand wheel when you're in map view and you'll get an option to change the view. Took me a while to figure it out too.

You need to switch it on in a hidden sub menu, if you have a search on z4-forum there will probably be a guide on how to do it.

From a post on here a while back...

"To enable the 3D view on go into set until you can see your software version in the top right hand corner. Hold down the right hand side of the menu button after about 6 seconds a new service menu will appear scroll down and off the screen and click into "perspective" turn on the option for "perspective" then exit

Go into "Map Positioning" it's worded slightly different on different cars but before you would have had 2 view options ... "Pointing North" & "Direction Of Travel" now you will have a third option "Perspective" access this option field via the main Menu - "GPS Navigation" - "Map Positioning" - then change the view to "Perspective" "

If you don't see the perspective option in your service menu then your software will need upgrading, but IIRC this should have been on the Z4MC from factory.

Thanks for this guys.

Found the perspective view, but why on earth isn't it in the menu initially or mentioned in the manual?

Also, a problem is that all the road names have disappeared. Is that normal?

IIRC yes, no road names on 3D.
