E38 PDC repair

Hello all, as some may know I recently put my 740iL up for sale but after spending a week keeping it extra clean I've pretty much decided I'd be mad to part with it. So I am going to get a 4X4 to run along side it. Anyway I was looking into the PDC as its the only bit of the car thats not perfect and I've worked out whats going on. 2 sensors not working, one front and one rear. Now the rear ones are very easy to get out and replace but the front ones not so. I've got the a write up about how to do it but I wanted to see if anyone on here has done it before?

My queries -

-Can you remove a xenon headlight the same way as a normal one?
-Will removing the headlight not mess up the light alignment?
-Can you access the front corner sensor via the wheel arch?

Any tips/advice welcomed.
