1999 323i - How do I deactivate the alarm?
Discussion
Any help gratefully received guys...
We are going on holiday and taking the wife's 323i. Trouble is we are putting on the back of the Motorail to get to the south of France. Just reading the bumpf and it says that the alarm must be deactivated.
I have checked the manual and all I can see is that the alarm button on the key can be pressed twice to turn off the motion & interior sensors.
I don't rate my chances of explaining that to the French fella who will be putting it on the train, so was wondering if there was another way of deactivating the alarm so that I can hand over the keys without a complicated attempt at a conversation in pidgeon French...
Anybody know?
Thanks

Using the key does it on my E39.
Try this.
Wind down a window, lock with key. Now shake car about and also stick you head/arms through the window.
Alternatively lock the car with the key with someone in it and get them to move around.
If it doesn't go off doing that then it won't on the train either.
