Hi folks.

Having been quoted between E1600 - E1900 for an Inspection II service and changing rear pads in the South I am considering going to the North with the CSL to have the service done instead. Does anyone have any experience of David Prentice BMW Portadown? Am waiting for a quotation back from them but I am assuming it will be considerably cheaper.

Or any other ideas preferrably close to the border with other main dealers. It must be a main dealer though as I want the BMW stamp.

Thanks for reading.

Have you thought about having a day trip to North Wales? Not sure how it would be price wise but always worth considering. There's a main dealer some 40mins from Holyhead Port.

Not sure if its just my thinking but £1400 - £1600 seems high for a service regardless.

Hi Rich thanks - Yes I know that dealer well, however by the time I would have taken a day off, ferry, hotel, petrol etc it would be well over what I would have been saving by having it done there. I'm currently making enquiries now in Northern Ireland.

What they are attempting to charge is almost criminal in my mind. Especially the fact that 2 dealers can be out by over E300 within a 40 mile radius is infuriating. And not even a courtesy car!!!

Best of luck...I hadn't realised that the servicing cost of the perforamce BMW's could be so high, think i'll be sticking to the oil burners for a while!
