temp and rev gauge not working

not on a signal level, but it could be either the plugs on the back being loose, or a poor connection between the dial faces and the circuit board backing.
try the dash test to see
hold down the trip reset (key off)
switch the ignition on (but don't start)
release the button

if the needles sweep, it'll be the plug, if they don't, it'll be in the cluster.
I'd imagine it's due to the heat, and it'll probably disappear when cool.
