Might, and its only a MIGHT, have to sell my Beemer so wheres the best place to advertise (other than on Pistonheads of course!)?

I know its only a car but I'd rather sell it to someone that'll look after it and I don't want loads of wannabe Chuck Yeagers turning up.

Guessing any BMW forums are a good start but anyone got any other suggestions? Alternatively, are there any dealers that like buying E36's in the Hampshire area? confused

Give Old Colonel Cars a call and see if it's something he might be interested in.

It's where I got my E32 from and he tends to have some interesting cars going through.

If you want it to be looked after, enthusiast forums and specialist dealers are the only way.

I am in the market for an E36 (must be 6 cylinder and manual) to run alongside my 328i SE - if you are interested let me know.

Its a 328i Manual se (see profile) - bought it a couple of months back and its since had MOT, new rear tyres and coolant sensor+brake pedal sensor so would need to be offers at around £3k mark - otherwise I'll hang on to it and swap my bike for an estate.

Try www.e36coupe.com or www.northloop.com depending on the model

Personally (and I grudgingly recommend them...) I think ebay is the most sucessful way to sell a car. Just put a disclaimer on the advert stating that you won't entertain or dignify with a response any silly questions, offers or idiots, and delete any emails that don't sound worth chasing when they come through which they inevitably still will. Just spend time doing a decent and detailed advert.

The last 3 cars I have sold were all sold through or via ebay. I had our old 106 Quiksilver on PH last month and didn't get one sniff compared to 5 enquiries through ebay and a sale to the first person to come and view it.

hmm, have reluctantly put car up for sale on here, will try other specialist forums mentioned but a lot of them require you to have been a member for a while before advertising.
