E36 316i remote locking question

Hi, Can anyone offer some help please


we have an L reg 316i and only had it a week, it has a remote alarm and central locking fob, which when we had it, and you alarmed the car, it would close the windows, now today though, it alarms the car and locks it, but does not close the windows, have we done something to stop this or has it developed a fault?

can only surgest disconnecting the battery for a bit, not rly to sure otherwise, sorry!

sussed it

if you press the little red light on the console it stops the windows closing, press it again and they close

must have hit it cleaning it

Pressing that button also deactivates the interior sensors, so you can lock and alarm the car with the windows open.
