E46 325/328CI vs CI Sport

First of all a little background; I am 24,currently have a Fiesta 1.4 (05)which I am looking to upgrade to something a little more fun/powerful/refined, I have 3 years no claims ad my budget is up to 6k.

I have been looking at getting a 3 series; however I am not sure if I should go for the 325 or 328. The 325 seems a little cheaper, which would allow me to get a newer/lower mileage example, however, does it lose much in other departments? Which would you go for out of the two with my budget?

Also looking at wisebuyers.com, the only noticeable differences between the 325CI and the 325CI Sport is that the latter has different alloys, added stability control, is a little slower (?) and is in a higher insurance group. Are these the only differences between the two or am I missing something (probably )?

Finally are the 325/8CI and Sport the ones to be looking at or would you go for one of the other specifications, and are they any common problems to be aware of when buying?
