E46 M3 Brake Caliper - BMW out of stock for weeks - help!

Can anyone suggest somewhere to get hold of an o/s front brake caliper for an E46 M3, please? BMW are out of stock and can't give a production date, other than to say it will be weeks not days away. I have tried 3 local BMW dealers, the local German & Swedish parts supplier, but they're all out of stock.

I've been without my car for 3 weeks now, irked doesn't cover it.

Try FAB Direct, it won't be a new part but could be used until a new one comes in to your dealer.

What about rebuilding the existing caliper using a Caliper rebuild kit, BMW part # 34111157037?

Apparently the caliper has seized so can't be refurbished. I'll give FAB a try now. Can anyone tell me how to get the part number, the BMW dealers seem reluctant to won't.

I've been busy business building. Also had a change of mobile number following a burglary, so I no longer have your contact details. I'll feel duty bound to take the car back to the local indie as it failed its MoT due to the brake caliper. The indie said they'd charge 1hr labour to fit a recon, but I still have to buy the new one as they've placed the order with BMW, for which they'll charge again to swap over. Rock or hard place.

That is a line if I ever heard one. BMW cannot supply so the inde can simply cancel the order, if they are not will to change your inde.

That line from the indie really is tosh. If BMW don't have the part there, he can just cancel at any time. I've done it many times!
