No warranty mentioned in the ad MOT Nov 09 no tax mentioned. It mentions that it has FSH with 2 prev owners. To be honest I may only keep it for 6 -8mths so Im also interested in its value by that time.

4 months MOT?? Get him to put new one on.

No Tax, get 6 months

As a dealer, he has to warrant the goods for 6 months ( not the same as a warranty )

Press every button once and then once again.

Any good dealer should have between £800 and £1200 in a £4k.

He can only say no....

I will soon be in the same boat.

I see you get a lot of saab for your money! However I need that V8 shove in my life.

Is this car in sport trim?

Well went to look at the 9-5 Aero and what a crock. The full service history extended only to 2005.A series of parking dents & dints ran down one side.It was also suffering from the missing pixel problem on the dash.Suffice to say I walked.

So it looks like V8 power for me.

Meh, some people get bargains, the market says its not a bad price. I am in the market for one, spoke to Bruce, it sounds pretty straight. Just hope it doesn't go before I get some cash together.

I agree I think I just got a good price originally (distressed seller). This is the only reason that I am selling again as I boght something more cheaply than seems possible. I have been thrifty with cars over the last few years starting with a 6 speed E34 540i tourer that I bought for £500 and sold for £2200 and then the 540i . I think in reality with both cars my anal nature shone through and I have spent more money than neccessary on the mechanical side of things for a car of this age.

I digress and sorry for the thread hijack.

Go for the BMW, Saab's are boring and not as nice to drive.

I have a 47k 1999, 2 owner FSH 540 touring. Sold a Saab 95 Aero estate to get it.

The E39 is a far superior car in every respect when compared with the Saab. They are good but they do tend to develop annoying creaks and rattles, and the manual gearbox is a bit crap too.

If you're after a touring and somewhere near Leeds I am thinking about putting mine up for sale as the wife can't get on with the size of it, she's the main driver see frown

PM me if you want any further info.

Couple of pics...

I will be asking circa 5.5k for it though. Might seem a tad expensive but I don't actually want to sell it, and I've spent a grand on it since taking ownership a few months ago!!
